Today, we celebrate the anniversary of America’s Independence for the 242nd time.
That got me thinking…
God damn, it’s good to be free.
I had the immense privilege of being born in the United States which is the greatest advantage anyone could ever have in this world.
I could have just as easily been born in any other of the 195 countries on the planet, but instead, I got the golden ticket.
For most Americans, anything you could ever want in life is usually within a 5-mile radius of where you live.
I mean think about it, the U.S. is the only country I know of where homeless people on the street are still well fed and fat most of the time.
What other countries can you live in without shelter and still live a decent life?
As an American, you literally have no excuse to not be successful.
No matter how bad your situation is, there is always hope.
You can always turn things around.
If any of the meth addicts and drunks on the street decided to get cleaned up, get a job, and get an education, they could.
The government would literally pay for their schooling through grants given to those in poverty.
That is why I never give any money to any of those bums and neither should you.
Instead of getting up every morning and putting in an honest days work, they decided to leave that to us, while they wallow in self-pity.
Fuck that shit.
I literally want to grab them by throat and shout
“What the fuck is wrong with you!”
But I don’t, instead, I just stare at them from the inside my nice cool air-conditioned car and think
“If you just decided to make a few small changes in your life, you would be doing just fine buddy”.
Don’t Let Your Things Own You
Now, if you are a few steps above being homeless but still living paycheck to paycheck at a job you hate, you must strive for more.
Even though you might live in the land of the free, you and millions of others are slaves to their lifestyle.
Things like your car payment, mortgage, rent, phone bill, cable bill, insurance etc. all make you a slave to the system.
Instead of you owning your stuff, your stuff owns you and you don’t even realize it.
While it sure beats the hell out of being homeless or living in a 3rd world shit hole, you will never truly be free.
You will just be running on a hamster wheel of continuous debt while trading your precious time for money.
You will always be asking the boss man if you can take a day off here and there while hoping that you don’t get fired.
Do you actually enjoy being owned like that?
If the answer is no, then you need to start working on your own projects right now if you ever want to gain true independence in your life.
How to Gain Independence
You need to give up at least 2 hours of your day (more if you want results faster) working on side projects so that when you get fired from your job, you have something to fall back on that doesn’t steal your soul.
Start a project about something you have knowledge about.
Help people solve problems.
Chip away at your project DAILY.
Nobody will care about any of your work at first, but if you do great work (your work will eventually be great if you just keep trying and never give up) your value to the world will eventually be noticed.
When others finally see the value in your work, you will be rewarded with an audience that will be ready and waiting to consume everything that you have to offer.
They will crave your content and services more and more and more.
Once you have put in the initial work, you can finally charge for your information and services by making an amazing product.
Your amazing product will enrich the lives of your audience and all of your hard work will finally be rewarded with green dollars and red cents.
As long as you keep maintaining your project, money will keep flowing.
Automated cash flow will allow you to be free to do whatever you want with your time.
Now that is true independence!
Stop Thinking and Start Doing
Most successful people in the world are idiots.
They don’t sit and think and over analyze, they just take action and learn from their mistakes along the way.
I first understood this while working at a call center that sold products to small business owners across the United States.
These business owners would call in looking for certain products and half of them were so dumb that they couldn’t even put a full sentence together in English.
I was astonished.
I would always ask myself…
“How are all these dumbass people running what appear to be successful business ventures that make tons of money while I’m stuck here taking phone calls all day and hating my life”.
Until one day it dawned on me.
Idiots succeed more often than smart people because they don’t
THINK they just DO.
Starting your own side project can be daunting but you have to start somewhere.
My advice would be to work in a field where you already know what you are talking about
spend a couple of months researching an area of interest and get to work.
Blogging, Youtube, dropshipping, eBay, brick and mortar business…
Pick something and run with it!
Hint – Online business is the way to go if you want to start something for cheap that can give you the best ROI possible.
Put in the Work
Everyone sees famous people when they are a finished product, but nobody saw the 10-year struggle most of them had when nobody gave a shit about them or their work.
The same will be most likely be true for you.
If you just shut the fuck up, turn off the distractions, and work work work without giving up, you will have no choice but to be successful just like them.
Just put in the work
You will thank yourself years from now when you are off traveling the world and living the good life, while everyone else is stuck on the hamster wheel.
People will ask you to teach them how to do what you do and you will simply tell them to
Put in the work
