Most people are perfectly content working a normal 9-5 job and taking orders from the boss man day after day after day.
They enjoy the false sense of security that a regular job provides them with and have no problem wearing the fake politically correct mask that the corporate world forces all of its employees to wear.
Just typing that word employee makes me cringe.
The fact that anyone could go through their entire life taking orders from someone else in exchange for a shitty paycheck really blows my mind.
In a world where thanks to the internet, anything is possible, why would you settle for an average life?
Don’t you want to do more than spend most of your life locked away in an office building?
7 Signs That its Time to Become an Entrepreneur
#1 You are sick of living paycheck to paycheck
Every time the first of the month rolls around, you hope and pray that you have enough money in your bank account to cover the rent.
Whenever gas prices go up, you cuss out loud and have a mini-meltdown.
Shopping for food at the grocery store is an anxiety-filled fiasco because you have to make sure that you stay within your $30 weekly budget.
The good news is that starting your own successful business venture will eventually allow you to make as much money as you want.
The only way to truly get ahead in life financially is by writing your own paycheck with your own blood sweat and tears.
#2 Every day at your job feels like an eternity
When you hear that annoying alarm go off on your smartphone in the morning, you want nothing more than to hit the snooze button and stay in bed all damn day.
As you sit in morning traffic, you pray that a major accident shuts down the freeway just so you can miss a few extra hours of
jail time work.
Every second that goes by feels like an hour and every hour feels like a day. All you want to do is leave that place and never come back.
When 5pm rolls around and you run to your car and speed home as fast as you can.
Once you arrive home at your crappy one bedroom apartment in the ghetto, you start doing more important things like drinking beer and playing video games.
Sleep doesn’t come easy because you know that it will only speed up the process of you having to return to your dreaded job.
You know that It’s time to break this endless depressing cycle.
#3 You demand more out of life
Your work days are spent daydreaming about driving exotic cars and relaxing on white sandy beaches.
You look at the lives of the rich and famous and realize that most of them are just ordinary people that followed through with achieving their dreams without giving up and getting a normal 9-5 prison sentence.
You realize that there is a whole open world out there just waiting to be seen and experienced and you want a piece of that action.
Deep down you now that everything you could ever want is there for the taking but you will never get close to that lifestyle working a normal job.
#4 You are constantly thinking about the future
People around you often ask “Are you okay?” because you are often seen staring into space with a blank look on your face as you continually think about all of the projects you are working on and strategically plan your future.
Average Joes that subscribe to the whole live in the now mantra are dimwits that will never achieve anything special.
The real deal money making freedom chasers of the world are always thinking ahead to the future and planning their next moves.
They are putting in work today that will benefit them weeks, months, and years from now instead of trying to make a quick buck by wasting time at some bullshit job.
#5 You have a burning desire to be free
Everywhere you look you see imprisoned people.
Most everyone around the world lives under the illusion of being free and you see right through it.
You may be thinking to yourself, I am free! I can do whatever I want and nobody controls me.
While you may be free to do what you want in that sense, you are not free to live like that all the time.
What would happen if you decided to test your so-called freedom out for a few months and not go to your soul stealing job anymore?
The bills would keep rolling in and you would eventually lose everything that you have.
So how free are you really?
Perhaps not as free as you think.
The only road to true freedom is the path of entrepreneurship.
#6 Time is much more valuable to you than money
Have you ever noticed what happens when a local business advertises an event where they will be giving away some of their products for free?
People will camp out overnight and line up for miles just to get a freebie.
They will waste hours and hours sitting around with their hands out waiting.
Black Friday is another great example of this.
Millions of people all across the U.S. camp outside of stores in freezing cold conditions just to save a couple bucks.
Instead of working on business plans that would allow them to make as much money as they wanted in the future so that they can be financially free, they decide to waste hours of their lives that they will never get back.
Smart individuals that have the potential to be successful entrepreneurs realize that time is infinitely more important than money and they do everything they can to maximize their time every second of every day.
#7 You are only satisfied when you get to do everything your way
You can’t stand being scrutinized by people who hold higher positions than you at your job.
Even though you do great work, you are constantly having conferences with superiors because you aren’t doing things exactly the way they want you to do them.
You realize that common sense isn’t so common in the workplace and you feel like you are the only sane person in a world of corporate drones.
Nothing gives you more pride than getting things done and doing them your way.
You can no longer have a boss that tells you what to do.
So, you read this entire post up to this point and you are feeling fired up and ready to start your own business venture so that you can finally be free from a life of servitude but, you have no idea how to start.
That’s okay, I was once where you are right now. Hating my job, hating my life, and feeling like everything I was doing was a total waste of my time and potential.
At first, I did the wrong thing. I started multiple half-baked business ventures with the sole purpose of making as much money as possible.
Dropshipping, eBay selling, retail arbitrage, freelance writing, niche blogs, you name it, I tried it and failed miserably.
Instead of focusing on something that I was passionate about that could add value to other peoples lives, I was acting like a money-crazed little shit who was running on a hamster wheel and getting absolutely nowhere.
Picking a Sound Business Plan
The first step that you need to take in getting out of 9-5 hell is to identify what you are truly passionate about in life and figure out how you can add value to other people’s lives with that passion.
Many successful entrepreneurs who have written books about business and making money give the advice of forgetting about passion and focusing instead on supply and demand.
I followed this advice at first and can tell you with absolute certainty that that strategy is a one-way ticket to failure.
Becoming your own boss and running your own show is a 24/7 365 day a year journey for the rest of your life and it will most likely take years of trial and error before you finally get everything right and enjoy an avalanche of success.
If you don’t pick a passion of yours to turn into money, you will without a doubt end up quitting long before success comes running to you.
Everyone isn’t a Special Snowflake
Most people in the world aren’t that different from each other which means that lots of other people all around the world likely share many of the same interests as you.
This is great news because that means you should easily be able to pick one (or many) of your favorite passions in life (mine are bodybuilding and self-improvement) and share them with the world.
Where most people go wrong with this simple business plan is by overthinking everything and quitting long before they even get started.
The number one reason why most people quit before starting is that they think to themselves…
I want to build a business around XYZ but so many people are doing that already.
Well, I have news for your my friend, every idea that you can think of has, in fact, already been done before by someone else, but that is okay.
You are different than them and you can offer a different perspective on everything.
Your different perspective will attract other like-minded people and you will eventually build your own loyal following of customers who will be ready and waiting to get their hands on all of the information and products that you have to offer.
When you finally get to that point (which again will likely take years) you will have a never-ending river of money flowing to you which will finally allow you to escape your 9-5 prison sentence forever.
We were all put on this Earth for a reason and your reason may be to live life on your terms, help other people, and make boatloads of money.
The road of the entrepreneur is a long and lonely path that will teach you more about life and yourself than you could have ever thought possible.
Just know that if you help other people by sharing your passions with them and never give up, you will have a 100% chance of achieving massive success.
Never stop grinding and always use your time wisely.
