Hunting, building, gathering.
For hundreds of thousands of years, these were the things that man had to do on a daily basis just to survive.
Hell, just 100 years ago, most Americans still worked on farms and lived a much more physical type of existence.
But what do men do now?
They sit on their ass all day in cubicles and stare at a computer screen for 8 hours a day.
Then they go home, sit on the couch, and look at a television screen for another 4 hours.
Man oh man, what a hard fucking life.
If our ancestors saw what men have become today, they’d probably turn over in their graves.
This Needs To Change
The least you can do to improve your health and honor your hard-working ancestors is lift some fucking weights.
I’m sick of training 20-year-old clients that are fat, sick, and out of shape.
It actually makes me sad…
Still not feeling motivated?
Well, I’ve got plenty of reasons why you need to make a change.
13 of them to be exact.
13 Reasons Why Every Man Should Lift Weights
Reason # 1 – Build Muscle
More muscle means more strength.
Stronger men are harder to kill and more useful in general.
On top of that, muscular men get more respect from others and almost always live a better quality of life than their scrawny counterparts.
Reason # 2 – Burn Fat
One pound of muscle burns an extra 10 calories a day. (source)
An average guy that follows a simple linear progression weight training program will have no problem putting on 20 pounds of solid lean muscle within a year.
10 calories a day x 20 pounds of muscle = 200 extra calories a day burned while doing absolutely nothing.
200 calories a day x 7 days a week = 1400 extra calories a week burned while doing absolutely nothing.
And to build that muscle, you’ll have to lift heavy weights for an hour at least 3 times a week, which altogether will burn another 540 calories. (source)
With all the math laid out in front of you, it should be easy to see how lifting weights has the power to turn your body into a fat burning machine.
Reason # 3 – Reshape Your Body
Body fat has no real shape and looks like a giant disgusting blob.
On the other hand, muscle is made of dense fibers that give your body a certain look.
This is why 2 men at the same height and body weight have the ability to look completely different than one another.
SUPRISE! The weightlifter will always look better.
Reason #4 – Improved Health
Weighted physical training improves every aspect of your overall health!
Some of the benefits include:
- decreased blood pressure
- stronger immune system
- improved sleep habits
- stronger heart
- better digestive health
- improved mood
And a million other things that I don’t feel like listing.
Reason # 5 – Improved Posture
Are you sick of looking like Quasimodo’s younger brother?
There is nothing more painful than seeing a young guy in his 20s who walks like a fucking 80-year-old.
Reason # 6 – Increased Energy
Fuck your morning coffee (which is slowly killing you) and wake up like a savage.
When you lift weights (especially in the morning) you’ll feel energized and determined for the rest of the day.
Reason # 7 – Boosted Metabolism
Look, we both know that constipation is one of the worst things in the world.
Lifting weights will help you skip that feeling forever by increasing your ability to digest food and keep you regular in the bathroom.
Ahhhhhhh, there is nothing like taking a nice poop.
Reason # 8 – Testosterone Production
Testosterone is important because it does things like:
- strengthen bones
- burn fat
- build muscle
- improve mood
- regulate metabolism
- make you more of a man
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Reason # 9 – Build Discipline
Discipline = Freedom
Performing difficult tasks every day regardless of how you feel will allow you to have anything that you desire in life.
This is something that most men will never understand.
However, I was able to learn this lesson at a young age when I first started lifting weights.
There were many times when I completed a workout despite being sick or tired.
But after a while, I saw how much it all paid off when I gained several pounds of muscle and changed my life forever.
Since then, I have carried that same discipline over to all other parts of my life and man oh man has it paid off BIG TIME.
Reason # 10 – Self Defense
We all know there are some shady motherfuckers out there who will try and take what’s yours by force.
Aside from arming yourself with a gun, the best way to prepare yourself for the assholes of the world is by building a physical presence that will be able to fight off or repel them altogether.
What’s the best way to do this?
Lift some weights!
Reason # 11 – Become More Attractive
Humans are animals and when it comes to selecting a mate, women will always be more attracted to men who look strong and fit.
And can you blame them?
I sure as hell don’t.
Reason # 12 – Build Confidence
Lifting weights will give you an air of confidence that you’ve never had before.
Believe me, It’s nice knowing that you’re stronger than 90% of the other humans on Earth and that you can easily defend yourself in any physical altercation.
Reason # 13 – Business Opportunities
People will always pay others for knowledge about health, wealth, and relationships.
And once you lift weights and build a body, you can easily fill the health niche and make good money by simply showing others what you know.
After years of training in the weight room, I decided to use my knowledge to become a personal trainer, which helped me leave the boring 9-5 life behind forever.
I also started the greatest website on Earth, Success & Strength dot com.
You can easily do the same.
